I know what you mean now.

Anyways, I'm now reminded how much work needs to be done...

I think I'll scrap all the extras I had plan and focus on the core functionality, extras can be added later. (extras being UV editor for texture animation being one).

Also, assimp should give the "object mode" transformations, should these be applied or ignored?

applied!
There should be the only one scale method like in Blender's "object mode" with the scale's point at the center of coordinate's system. The current wmit's scale method works right!

Tried the wmit zip version you posted and it works pretty nice. Only problem I noticed was that when importing, the model was so small it was hidden inside the axis arrows, which took me a while to realize...

Anyway did I understand right that the program doesn't yet support connectors?

Yes, this still needs finishing.

The reason why connectors aren't implemented is because I thought the WZM format need to be changed to make connectors more flexible/reasonable.

I will be re-writing it so that it is not centered around WZM.

If you really want to change it, you should be able to hard code it into the shader as a workaround.

Well, at least I've started learning how to use wmit to get the base for my .pie files. The rest isn't really that hard to add in manually :)
