That is good advice. Where should we put them centrally?

Well, I usually use the sourceforge project site for uploading stuff, that way everyone can see what we are doing in one central place.

True, I've been thinking about this too. Unfortunately the only blender script in existence is pretty outdated.
How's it going with SafetyOff's conversion tool? It's called WMIT isn't it?

Yes, I tried to compile it myself, but unfortunately I got ~400 compile errors and I have no idea of how to change the paths to the libraries. I also know nothing about coding c/c++

I can do that 4 you :) . I have wmit and can give you the pie files. Then someone still needs to do the tcmask and actually put the pie files in the mod.

Another thing I think we need to do is contact Olrox. He would probably be interested in this. ;)

I don't think so. I got him in my friends on facebook and currently he makes his own game - 2D platformer. :)

Anyway, previously I converted models and prepared the mod to release. I can continue to do this. I just need a new tool to convert a models. ;)

Compiling on windows was a pain, partly because qmake sucks. IIRC there were also issues with GLee that had to be worked around on windows.

As for WMIT, parts of the PIE export were not 100% complete, this may or may not affect you (notably, scaling and winding inversion were not applied to the exported model).

IIRC the best thing to do is to use it for previewing changes to the tcmask texture (it will auto-update when you change the texture file), and to figure out the scaling and other parameters for obj2pie.

Obj2pie actually applied scaling and winding inversion, that's why I'm saying to use that.

I'll be more helpful come the 20 (after my exams.)
